Not sure about the size but they are scanned pictures from a non digital camera from years ago. I am just trying to do what I can do to preserve the history of every car I touch. Is there a link to walk me through this? I'm new at all this computer stuff.

Hi TanTank welcome to the forum. No one is pissed at you, that is why we have a modified forum. I am certain HH56 is correct. Please share more as you figure out file size and time permits.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions can be found in the FAQ forum, which may be accessed directly, from any page on this site, by a convenient link - just below the User Menu, along the left side of the screen. Specifically, you would want to check out BigKev's Website topic on Photo Posting Guide Lines, as size does matter.

Since I only have dial-up access, I typically stop the page load whenever my browser bogs down on hi-rez images and will likely never see those pix. Yet, at about 400-500KB each, the few pix that you attached in your opening posts loaded in a reasonable time for me. It's images that take up 1MB+ (each) that cause problems for me - especially when there are several of them in a single page.

Personally, when it comes to attaching images to forum posts, I resize my pix to no more than 800x600 pixels, BUT save the resized image under a NEW filename to preserve the original hi-rez file.

Images posted to the site's Packard Photo Archive, however, appear to be a whole different story. Some contributors may have used smaller, lo-rez images to limit use to on-screen viewing. Others go all out with hi-rez.

Hope this helps.

We are on a mission to get this car on the road. The first pic is thrarpy for everyone that has time to visit our Restoration shop and meet Roger. The few that are allowed in the shop will hang around this car asking questions.
The second pic is of the Super Duty. Keep in mind this project has lasted over 10 years and nearly every part was pulled out of his garage from left over projects. We're just using this rebuilt shell to hold all of the fun stuff he didn't want to get rid of. Coolest storage shed I've ever help build. ...... And we get to drive it.

Thanks to everyone for the help on the pictures issue!

Just to update this thread WRT to photo posting, I see that BigKev recently made a Free Image Resizing Tool (of his own design) available for members - attached to a new topic in the FAQ forum.

Just an update ....
The top is nearly ready for paint. Only a few spots to touch up and sand again. Stay tuned for yellow soon.

The first pic is a sample of the most asked question....
Why the tiger stripes? They are to help see the sand scratches and low spots when you sand.
