CBS News research department contacted me in regards to a story they are running on the history of Neon signs in America that will air this weekend. The first Neon sign in the US was installed at a Earl C Anthony Dealership in Los Angeles in 1923, so they were looking for pictures of the sign and info on that dealership.
The piece will air on CBS News Sunday Morning Show. It will be a short piece, and no I won't have anything to do with it per se. I just provided a little research info. Just giving you all little heads up if you want to see what will be a probably just a brief mention of Packard on the national news.

JW, I believe you are correct that the sign advertised the radio station. I've seen it several times, and was used some time back in the Cormorant News Bulletin as I recall.

From several articles and books on the history of Neon, they all agree this was actually the first sign installed in the US. Anthony imported 3 of them that read "Packard" on the first order to use at the dealerships.
He personally traveled to Paris to meet with Claude Neon. Attach file:  (20.24 KB)
