G'day RodBuilder,
to PackardInfo, I'm looking forward to following along as your project progresses. And......I invite you to include your '30 Standard Eight in the Packard Owner's Registry.

If you measure the wheelbase 126 or 133" you can find out what body styles were available on each. The taillight is a '29

The number on the motor indicates that it is a standard 8 made in 1930

Looks like its been "Speedsterized" as some point in its past life with no rear bodywork, fuel tank behind the cut down body and the cut down swoopy looking doors. Whether you return it to stock or continue with the Speedster theme there's a lot of work either ways. Although not a died in the wool purist, but having regard to your Forum name, is the independent suspension front end going under it and will the blue bucket seats remain? Concerning identification, does it have an ID plate on the firewall? What about engine number, chassis number, steering box number and the Theft Proof Number(large embossed number on firewall), these could all help in the ID.
