As you can see by my icon I am slanted towards the 35-37 Juniors. My reasons being that each of those years are unique.
1935 120A Suicide front doors, Old style bumpers, Stylish dash (black), Non-wood-grained 1936 120B bumpers same as 37, Old style dash (brown) Non- wood-grained what I call a bustle back trunk. except for the slantback trunk, which was offered I believe all three years although rarer. 1937 120C Packards most sales year, parts are plentiful. Wood grained dash.Taller windshield for better visibility. more modern trunk. I do like the 120's over the 115 because of the better looking dash in the 120. 1938 Dash non wood-grained of which customers made them return to a wood-grained dash in 39. The dash too me has fairly lackluster looks. Split windshield, I prefer a solid glass. also the 1938 is the First year all steel body with fit issues. The 35-37 cars did not have any wood in the doors. But did partially in the floors floors, the inner side panels had a little and also in the roof structure had to me the most. The prettiest sedan body style to be is the Club Sedan but I have only owned 1, that of a 1935. I have owned cars each of the four years above mentioned but 1937 has been my favorite as I have owned maybe 30 of over the last 40 years, but just 2 now.

1936 and 1937 120's Are what we like best. But we also like all other Packards too.

Don 37, You seem quite knowledgeable about this model Packard, thanks for sharing the information.
A couple more questions from a novice, if you don't mind? When did the 120 sedan lose the fabric top and go to all steel? I am looking at a '36 120 with this data tag (see pic). Most cars I've seen have the dealer and/or delivery city stamped on the tag but this one seems pretty bare. Any idea why? What info can be gleaned from the Vehicle Number shown? mid to late production 36-120 touring sedan. Not unusual to see blank dealer/date.
37 was the last year for the fabric over wood top. '38 was first year for all steel top on the six/120 line.

One of the cars I'm looking at has this same trunk configuration with the upper and lower. I assume the lower is for a spare tire. If a car came with side mounts did it have a different trunk configuration or did they just leave it the same?

Can you explain the difference between the Model 992 120 Touring sedan and the Model 993 120 Sedan for 1936? Also, on the data plate I posted, is the 24664 number the car's sequence number only? Greg
