G'day rushboy99 and Jim L. in OR,
to PackardInfo, and as Randy indicated, I'm the guy who requests you to include your Packards in the Owner Registry. So, if or when you purchase the '35 and '55 respectively could you please include them in the Packard Owner's Registry here, together with a pic, any known history and how they were acquired? If in fact the '35 does turn out to be Jim L's old car that'll be pretty special!

Oh well, it was a long shot. In a close look at the rear in the picture it looked like this one has the extended trunk - a sort like the 81-85 Sevilles. Mine didn't - the rear of the car sloaped down at a fairly steep angle. I think the ones with the larger trunks were called "Touring Sedans" - not the same meaning of the phrase today.
Are you going to keep trying for it? I would have thought $3,000 wasn't too far off the mark but I don't have any reference material that goes back that far.

It might be a tad low for a fairly rare car that looks to be mostly there but still needs a lot-- but on the other hand, you might be dealing with someone who looked at Hemmings, saw all the restored cars going for 10 times that much, and figures his should too. Did he give any idea what he expects.

I went to look with this car with a mechanic friend of mine, he seems to be under the impression that she doesn't want to sell the car yet she still has emotional attachment to it.

You may want to work backward on figuring what's worth. A full blown #1 rstore car will be worth about $30K. I see at least $30K of work in that car just sitting there. I wouldn't budge off the $3K offer you made.
