Ok, it should now be fixed. It took me having to run Safari in developer mode and looking stepping through the debugger to see what was happening. The website was creating two different ID cookies based on URL differences and that was confusing the Chat room software on some different browsers. This has been fixed, and should now be right as rain.

Gerd, thanks for letting me know it worked on your side, if you didn't I would have been tracing through server configuration stacks for days.

I'm curious if the new server has the connection capacity the old one had. It went down about 4:20 with several minutes of the message "unable to connect". Lots of users though I doubt they were all pinfo members. When it came back, snapped in and still said 32 online. Seems to have been very sporadic last couple of days.

I agree the new server is very sporatic. I tried for about 1/2 hour and suddenly it works fine.

They have been having some sporadic issues with high loads on the neighboring sever. Also there were a couple of times today when I rebooted the server as I was making configuration files changes. During the reboot the website would have been unavailable.

If I was pulling too much load on the server, then I would have gotten a nasty-gram from the provider.

When I talked to them last they had several new websites on this same Physical server node, and some of them have turned out to be spam farms which consumed all the shared CPU resources. So when one of those pops up, it take them about 30mins to identify it, and then kill it.

But I am on top of it.

Could be an issue with the Owner Registry. See this post and the one that follows, both by Mike O'Handley.

EDIT Created then deleted a "test entry" in the Registry, seemed to work fine for me without needing to refresh.

Still some load issues with neighboring virtual servers on the physical node. I've requested to be moved to a less populated neighborhood. Sorry for the occasionally slowness or outages. I am working on it. The struggles of moving to a new server company.
