Hello folks, new poster here. When pulling the generator off my '37 115-C coupe I noticed a part that fell on the garage floor with the usual bolts and washers between the generator and the bracket on the block. it is a brass or bronze bushing that looks like a downsized flywheel thrust bushing. Is this a factory thing or a add on by somebody in the past and where does it go? looked like it came from the front end of the bracket, maybe a spacer shim to help align the generator with the other pulleys?...

It sounds like you are talking about the spacer that goes between the engine and generator adjusting bracket where the bracket fastens to the engine. Sometimes you will see this spacer on the generator side of the bracket, but the correct place is on the engine side.
