I'm curious if those of us who are running the full wheel discs on our pre-war Packards, If we can indeed use the side-mount mirrors that often look amazing on our cars. I know how they attach with the Artillery and Wire wheels, but not the discs and I'm just a little curious

Depends in part on the year of the vehicle and optional equipment. If your car is from the years where metal spare tire covers were offered, the standard sidemount mirror attaches to the cover, not the wheel and tire. Last year for steel disc wheels on seniors was 1936 and I believe metal sidemount covers were available from atleast 1932. Sorry for the obvious answer, I don't know of any factory sidemount mirror available for the dissteel wheels without metal covers.

See that's where my curious nature comes in because I've seen a few pictures with the full wheel discs, cars from I'd say 28 to 31ish that have these mirrors without any cover. examples

Here is my 30 with the mirrors, they attach with a screw from the inside of the cover into the bottom of the post.

G'day Giles van Hees,
to PackardInfo. Meant to do so recently when you posted about your valve cover, but I forgot!

I invite you to include your '30 733 Standard Eight in PackardInfo's Packard Vehicle Registry.

I don't know how to say this without it possibly being interpreted as coming off as a bit of an ass, but I had mentioned in previous post and included photos of cars that don't have the spare-tire band that you do. As shown in the pictures the ones I'm talking of seem to be affixed by another locations with the straps. Not to detract from your beautiful car by any means though
