I am looking for speedometer repair person for my 1929 Packard 8

I am looking for someone to repair the speedometer in my 1929 Packard 8.
My mechanic has been trying to fix my speedometer. Nothing turns inside. He put some penetrating oil to sit in the place where the cable attaches to the speedo. The oil has been sitting for a few weeks but nothing has started moving.

Thanks, Greg Martin.

The internal housing is made from pot metal and is almost certainly cracked and distorted and must be replaced.
These parts are available fromhttps://vintageandclassicreproductions.com/product_brands/1929-packard/

A handful of good options for instrument repairs. I used Williamsons Instruments for all my guages.

I also buy a beautiful CNC dash housing to replace the old pot metal. Barry Lowe makes alot of specialty parts for the late 20's Packards at his resotration shop.

We make the internal housing for the 28-31 northeast speedometer out of aluminum. We have other speedometer parts as well.

Bill's Speedometer Shop can rebuild, using the aforementioned reproduction parts. Pat Mescher, owner, is a PackardInfo regular (PackardSixMan), and does great work.
