Someone who has and also gives out information that makes it possible
to recreate the muffler. I already have most of the materials here.
Gerd, thank you for the information that was posted on the auction page. In the long time I have been searching the Internet for pictures and information about my 136 Sport, I have already seen one or two pictures of this vehicle. I also have some pictures of the original design door leather and door panels from other 1924-1926 models which are all identical. But so far I haven't had any pictures that show other parts of the interior specifically for the 136 with this clarity. All card boards are already prepared and still need to be covert with the new laether. I have the necessary Trim Hidem in stock anyway. Unfortunately, the dark red of the Hidem that I chose for the leather didn't match the leather color perfectly. That's why I had a specialist company mix the color that matches the leather exactly and will dye the trim material accordingly. A test showed that it really fits the leather perfectly. I hate it when good leather work is disqualified by differend color on the material. When the opportunity arises, I will show these photos in detail in my yet-to-be-created blog.

So do I. Literally....I really miss spending time there. The people and camaradrie not to mention working on Packards. Although I use the term "working on Packards" looseley. My working on Packards mainly entailed a lot of parts cleaning, painting of parts and being the "gopher". I.E. Go this, go for that! Not that I'm complaining, far from it. But enough of these ramblings, it's time to resume normal transmission.

In the last 13 years I haven't had a lot of private time for myself and my wife and for our new start here in Germany because I first had to build our new home. The complete modernization and partial reconstruction of a 174m² apartment took 4 years alone. And I did a significant part of it myself. There was little time for my passion for working on classic cars. And it took a lot of time before I could think about restorations again for health reasons (three hospital stays).
Seven years ago I bought the 1924 Packard and then began restoring it a few years ago. My wife didn't really like it because she had had to share this passion with me for many years. I'm very happy that she still has a lot of understanding and interest in these things and that she lets me have my way.
I don't actually have the time to show the restoration of the 1924 Sport in a blog here. Anyone who has presented a blog here knows how much time it takes. I wanted to present the car at a Concours de Elegance here in Germany for its 100th birthday. But I probably won't be able to do that. Too much detailed work still needs to be done. But since it's winter time now, I can only work in my heated upholstery room at the moment. This gives me a little more time and I will try to start the blog and at least present something from time to time. I won't be able to show a complete progression of the work because at the beginning... as I said... I didn't think about recording the work and the progress completely and chronologically in the picture.

To expand on my last post here...I started my restoration blog last week. The cold weather that is going on here is giving me some time start it. The large hall in which I work can only be heated at considerable expense.

Living in a cold weather area, I understand the struggle. But I try to push on as winter is when I try to get most of the major projects done so I can get as much driving time as possible in the spring and summer.

Sorry... BigKev, but if you are 75 years old and your health limits your ability to act even in summer temperatures, then there is hardly any work that can still be carried out properly at an ambient temperature of 37°F. That's why I divide my work very precisely, what I can do at what time. And now I can only do the work that I can do in my heated upholstery room. But even that is limited, because it takes a while to heat the room every day so that the thick shoe leather has become warm and flexible enough to be carried out cleanly under the sewing machine's presser foot. So I try to make the best possible use of the winter time. And the rough work like body work, chassis and so on... has already been done. But thank you for your encouragement, I will do my best.
