Thanks everyone for the info. I probably am going just to chip away at this thing for the next 2 months, as I have another project that I need to finish. After that, I will start a thread with the build up. Plans are just to make it run, drive, stop, steer, and have all of its stuff working. The last few cars I have gotten were like this. I figure, ill save the car from doom, someone else can restore it. . . .

I saw that one on Ebay a couple of days ago.
Still havent started on the car yet. Im in need of a compete ignition switch, with key and everything. USed is good, if anyone has leads . . . . .

51-53 Ignition Switches will all interchange as they are all "pedal starts". '54 was the first year for the "key start".

Is your switch missing, or what problem are you having with it?

somebody put a shitty aftermarket one in from Autobone, and its missing the key. I know that they are pedal start though. . . . I just sold my 54 buick that had that. I would just like to find a complete one. . . .

Have you tried contacting Dan Yocum? (He's listed in the Directory here on the website under Vendors)

Dan has a pretty good cache of used 51-56 parts. I bet he may have what you are seeking.
