Wanted:1930 Packard Assist Handle

Hello,

I am in need of a match to this Assist handle pictured that is mostly used in 1930 740 and 745 club sedans and limousines. I am in need of a whole handle of at minimum the upper bracket metal piece - condition of plastic is unimportant.

If you have a pair, I would gladly install 1931 840 and 845 handles ot 1932 903, 904, 905, or 906 handles (they are different but match the door handles and such - my car is an early 1931 and by later 31 they had changed style but they bolt right up and I think are equally attractive if not more so attractive).

Either way the handles are immediately identifyable by the four screws in handle (2 screws on each end).

New castings are fine.

John. I didn't know you had that car? That's beautiful. Here's a similar set on ebay.

West, we have had it for about 5 weeks. Super nice car (10,000 miles) and will be even better after I give it a wheel repaint (whole car was painted once before) and general pick-me up/replace all broken parts and especially replace blown headgasket(someone used too small an acorn nut and ... DO NOT EVER DO SUCH). After headgasket is replaced then let's go driving as everyone keeps saying it is the nicest handling Packard they have ever driven.

The ebay handles you mention are just too wrong for car in both their size and mounting, but thank you for posting as it will help others in seeing the other kinds used.

I could also use this type of pull handle which will bolt right in as well (need a pair if we go this route). This style was used in 1931 with a white plastic/bakalite grip) and in very late 31 and 32 with the metal grip as in pictures.
