I tried a search on the subject and I could have sworn that I read a post about a forum member who fabricates replacement door sill plates for various model Packards but came up empty. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Depending on what you need, there really is only one source - Doorsills, Inc. in North Haledon, NJ. NOTE: Lead time is about a year. No Kidding....

The Minnesota region of PAC used to make/sell door sills;

Correct, Minnesota Packards (PAC) reproduces door sills. They did a GREAT job for my '41 160 convetible sedan.

Their ad in the latest Cormorant News Bulletin still advertises the door sills for sale and it says to send an e-mail to wkempfer@hotmail.com for a price list and availalbe patterns.

I think Don at Doorsills was the actual source for the Minnesota PAC project

I just checked on mine. Schedule is running 8-10 months wait, but worth it. Don is doing Dec 2010 - Jan 2011 orders now.

I bought mine from Minn Packards for Best Other and the Caribbean. It was a long wait.

To all I picked up my set for my 1940-120 at Hershey.

Door Sills did an excellent job. Now all I need is to get working on the rest of the car.
