I think that coupe is actually a 120 - it has junior taillights, dash trim, running board trim. Senior bumpers, steering wheel, trunk script. Henney hood sides.

The large clock on the glovebox of the 41 160 and the side mounted spare are nice touches.

And that 50 barn find looks so clean. Looks like it even has the original license plate. I'd personally be a bit afraid to pay that for a non-running car, but at the same time that interior and patina are priceless, so...

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

I think you'll find it; a 120, even though it has a 160 badge.

The blurred lines between the junior & senior models after 1939 confuse the daylight out of me. What's the easiest way to determine 120 or 160/180? A batch a clock or taillights are easily swapped so that's not the answer.

Wouldn't the data plate indicate the series/model?

The data plates are just screwed onto the cowl, so often missing.
Of course many parts can be swapped, but some are easy.some difficult.

The first thing to check is the engine - 160's have the 356, 120's the 282.

Speaking as to 41-2, junior taillights as shown, simple oval. Senior taillights are chunkier multipiece design. Running board trim is short "L" shaped series on the end. Seniors are full length. Hood side trim is larger on seniors (cloissonne emblem on 180). flip out vents vs crank out vents. One piece bumpers vs multipiece bumpers. Grooved dash plastic vs flat. Radio grille all plastic vs mostly chrome. Different window garnish trim.

You could in theory change all of this (there are some other more subtle differences), but at some point you need to consider the likelihood.

The 160 bits on this car are easy ones to swap. The 120 parts are harder to change. So I think it's a 120. the sidemount covers are Packard, not Henney. The Henney covers have an exposed chrome flip up hinge.

One more: Very nice and very original 1941 160 Coupe with dual side mounts. Seattle WA area. Now this one I really like. Wish it were closer:

I've been going back and forth with this guy on Facebook.
A. It's not a 160
B. It is a 120 with some 160 parts (trunk script, bumpers, hubcaps).
C. It has a bogus data plate showing a VN of 1475-2001.
D. The real 1475-2001 is actually in Australia and is listed in the owner's registry here.
E. It has one side mount and a really goofy box sunk in the driver's fender.
F. Seller claims it was modified by Henney... it does have a Henney medallion and hood latch trim.

I suspect the Henney trim just hides the holes where the 'One Twenty' script used to be. But... maybe not.
