Parts info for a 54 Clipper

Just popping in

Hello everybody an fng here, just picked up a 54 Clipper and was wondering if someone would know where to find some tail lites for it. Just missed the auction on ebay, all I really need is some lenses.... But would buy the assy if priced ok. The car is rough, got it running would like to be able to drive it. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!! Thanks

Regarding the lenses I know there's a guy here in Australia who reproduces the clipper lenses. See paragraph #4 in this post from my Project Blog. No doubt there are re-pros available in the US but, if required, I could chase up the info on the guy here.

And, I invite you to include your '54 Clipper in the Packard Owner's Registry here on PackardInfo.

I might suggest trying to find a set of used lenses if the car is rough. I have a freind in New Mexico that bought the repros, I'll see if he keep the original and if they are for sale. Do you have an e-mail? Regards

I will look into the blog, Thanks so much for your help ! I will put it in the registry.....will finish cleaning it up and put some tires on it first... just incase their is an opportunity to put up a picture :)

Thanks Dallas, I would be fine with some old lenses. I highly doubt this car will be anything more than a driver . If he still has the old ones let me know . Thanks Brian brian@mtco.com

Sandy Chico (Tucson Packard) reproduces these. They are far superior to the original plastics which tend to craze and become brittle with age. Just you will need two of them as the coloring will be off between an aged original and a repro. They run about $150 each or so.
