Finally, after almost two months I got our Packard home from the mechanic today. Drove it for the first time too. What a blast. We added it to the registry and I will update the information when I can. I'm grateful to a number of members here for supplying parts and information I needed.

Thanks for the support Ernie. Maybe we could induct Miss Princess in as an "honorary" Packard?

Seriously, it's easy to do, I just added the '48 Chassis I bought today. Hardest part was deciding which photo to use.

BDC,

The answer is NO, but the concept has some appeal to me!

THANKS to Oz, Kev, and others for maintaining one of the best automotive sites (THE best?) on the web.

Many of us come here because you have a wonderful site, we love Packards, and we do not own our own Packard yet.

Also, you likely have lots of inactive members, for all sorts of reasons.

Hmmmm Seems my projection of 2000 in the Registry by the end of 2019 was somewhat optimistic. Currently there are only 1943 in the Registry.

Ding dang it, Mal.

I didn't see my car listed in the registry so I spent some time gathering the info and completing the entry (Had to check with Hollingsworth book for codes, dig out old registration, trying to be very meticulous etc.) and the system timed me out!

Yes I lost the submission.

There should probably be a note that says "It's easiest to begin your registration with whatever info you have right now, submit that to establish your entry, and then come back to add codes, VINs, engine numbers or technical later. If you're going to try to complete this in one go, gather all the information required in advance or you may be timed out by the system and have to start over."

I went back to add it again, and there I was, but there was a different picture of my car. Huh? And then I realized I was already registered and had done as good or better a job back then than I did just now. Whew.

Joe,
A BIG for your effort to add to the Registry, even though it ultimately wasn't needed. I've deleted the recent "timed out" entry and reviewed the original entry for your '40 One-Sixty Super Eight Convertible Sedan which, I must say, is quite comprehensive, relates its history and provides a great photo from a different angle. Well done!

Plus, I see where I acknowledged you and your Packard previously in this post.

Now that Joe's "shown the way", so to speak, who else will step up and include their Packard in the Registry?
