I noted too it was a very large and secure solder bulb, likely why they made such a deep recess. This wire is subject to a lot of torque, albeit mild due to the coiling of the wire, but constant and repetitive back and forth as you steer the wheel most of the time while driving. Make sure you do the same installing the new one. A 'cold' solder joint will fail. You want to see good melt and flow so polish the brass to a clean glow before you solder.

2 questions

1. Is there a specific side (driver or passenger) that is the “Acc” on the ignition switch? Wiring diagrahm does not reference.

2. Any leads where I can source this? Not sure if names. Door Windlace maybe?

The ignition switch is just a single-pole-single-throw switch, so it is just ON or OFF. With that, it won't really matter which way you wire it. That said, general convention is to wire the switch such that the blades "hot".

I recently went through my wiring and found the original wiring diagrams a bit lacking. I created my own from the originals along with actually tracing out the light switch contacts.

This is windlace. If you do a Google search for it, several different suppliers will come up. You can compare and find the style that matches. Make sure the "flap" is long enough to match the original size.

Typically, open cars would have a vinyl-type covering as opposed to a cloth-covered one.

I got mine from a material supply store, it is cotton cording, sold by the yard. Very inexpensive. Wrapped it in my upholstery material and sewed it on my home sewing machine with the zipper foot attachment.

Removed the fuel line. Clips didn’t make it for the new one. What is best way to mount new fuel line? Picture of clips that were on it.

If you need a different size or style clip you might check out Restoration Specialties. Download their pdf catalog to see illustrations of some they carry.

You can also check out the Auveco catalog and see some of their offerings that Restoration does not carry or provide illustrations of on the Restoration online catalog. Many Auveco products can be found on Amazon or Ebay as well as thru local distributors in many locations.

Today, I staged the bulb wires to be connected to the Switch when it arrives, and secured the gauge panel to the dash.

Got the horn wired, soldered, and reinstalled (thanks Bob for guidance)

Removed the fuel line as I am moving to work under carriage.
-New Fuel Line, Gas Tank and Exhaust system.

I have the wiring in place now that I can test the sending unit.

Need to hold off on wiring the Head and brake lights. Have the Taillight gasket and headlight mounting pads coming in from Steel Rubber.
