Have you checked with Sandy Chico at Tucson Packard? Last time I checked he had several different jacks in stock.

I don't know why it is but the jacks for the 22nd/23rd series are not easy to come by. I've been watching eBay for about 3 years now and have seen only a handful come up for auction. Of those, only 2 were actually correct for the 22nd/23rd series. Both the correct jacks went for way more than I was about to pay.

You'd think that with over 200,000 cars manufactured, each I assume with a jack, that there would be quite a few still hanging around. Apparently not. Odd that there are so many 22nd/23rd series radios available.

Was the same jack used for the 41-47 Clippers? I can't find a listing for jacks in the parts manual.

According to Reedy & Shaub's book on Packard jacks and tools, the 46-47 jack was different. Per the pictures, the 46/47 jack came in a triangular cardboard box rather than rectangular and the section that grips the underside of the bumper has a simple gentle upwards curve rather than the flat and pin used 48-50. The 46/47 jack is given as part# 387780, and the 48-50 as #419541 though it says it was used for "Senior and some Junior models" with the comment that the Eight and DeLuxe Eight jacks had the same part number but some minor differences which I can't really discern from the photos though the base plate looks a bit different. For 1948 there was also the "Packard-approved" accessory hydraulic bumper jack, also pictured in the book.

Unsure of postwar but often in prewar the jacks and tools had their own separate parts listings.

O_D, thanks. I found the jack under group 16.0066 by using the part number you provided. I hadn't noticed the one-page 'Tools' category in the Parts List before. You learn something new every day.
