How about giving us the vehicle number off the plate on the driver's side of the cowl? There were several series in 1950 and the top-of-the-line Custom 8 would have a considerably higher value than the others.

This is really going out on a limb here, one man's definition of "excellent" may be another man's "fair", and for many authenticity will enter into the equation, plus the presense/absence of accumulated parts. You might think in terms of $3000 to $9000.

G'day gfuji,
to PackardInfo. Sorry, can't help with your query. But, if you buy the '50, could you please include it in the Packard Owner's Registry here, together with a pic, any known history and how you acquired it?

Worth is an open ended assessment. Manual typewriters can be found for $5-40, depending on the brand, condition, etc. However, if you ask my grandfather, they're worth their weight in gold.

Likewise if the car is more original than modified it could be worth more in some circles.

I bought a 52 last summer for $300. But its in such a bad condition rust wise that most would just use it as a parts car. But to me I find it worth more due to the fact its pretty complete and it runs.

So worth is subjective. If you're looking to buy, make a reasonable offer between 2-3k. If you're selling it double that.

If it wasn't for those meddling kids, and their dog too...

1952 200 deluxe touring- its a goer...but not a stopper. Just ask my neighbour about her flower bed.

Old Cars Price Guide says $2280 to $11700 depending on model and condition, mainly condition.

The high price would be for one that is good enough to win a local car show, the low price one that is compete and runs but needs work. Most cars will fall on the low side.
