I need a starter for a 52 packard patrician 400 with a 327 thunderbolt straight 8 anyone who might have one for sale please give me a price and if possible a photo.

Do you currently have a non-working starter?? If so it's probably cheaper to just have it rebuilt locally.

You should be able to buy one from any of the normal Packard Vendors. But they may charge you a core fee since you dont have one. Do you have Delco or Autolite ignition?

BigKev is right, check the box on the firewall, it will give you a clue to what brand you need. Check with Kanter or Max Merritt as well. 6V positive ground.

If you do find a used one and the condition is suspect, run it to a local alternator repair shop, they usually rebuild generators as well. If you need, I have a local one you can deal with in St Paul, MN, they rebuilt mine.

Here's what mine looked like before and after (300 52 Packard w/ 327 so should be similar):
