I guess I'm the only "performance" Packard guy here!

Waddaya mean, my '47 will do 0-60 in 19 seconds! Now that's PERFORMANCE 1947 style isn't it?

Almost as good as the "lightning fast acceleration" in an early 50's brochure describing the use of low range ultra.

Eric,

Put me down for a couple of shirts.

Although I don't have performance figures on my Packards, yet! Back in '65 my stock Ford Model A Tudor did the standing quarter in 26+ seconds so I know performance counts!

As BigKev said -

It is to be noted that another time, while we were supposed to be putting Armco guardrails along the side of the strip, while running untimed quarters the cam gear on the A shredded! This necessitated a call to a mate who arrived with a replacement gear and cam. Needless to say very little was done in digging post holes or assembling Armco that day.
