Every time I get close to buying a Packard I ask what the value may be. I've been close to buying and am close again. 1949 Super 8 conv. on excellent condition. It is a legit #2 condition and I'm thinking $25K for my offer. Does that sound fair. It's not a Victoria but a Super 8.

Good luck with the purchase but sorry I don't know what it's worth, just too far away from the action.

If you do end up buying the '49 Super Eight Convertible could you please include it in the Packard Owners Registry here on PackardInfo?

I try to steer clear of value questions, but I find the description a little confusing. You say it's not a victoria but it is a convertible? Well, if it's one, it's the other also.

Also is it a 22nd series 1949 or a 23rd series 1949 Super 8? And with what equipment?

Pictures and a good thorough description of the history and mechanical maintenance/work recently done would be helpful to have anyone comment on value.

Old Cars Price Guide says #3 $26550 #2 $44130 so $25000 would be quite a bargain.

I will try and put some pics on here, I'll have to get help from wife on that. Some Victoria convertibles I see have egg crate grills and all Custom's do also, right? This one doesn't have an egg crate drill.
