Hey guys,
Thanks for the great advice! I have left my improvised puller tensioned on the drum overnight. I am going to go outside and give it another try today. I will keep you updated on the status of those stubborn drums.

Hey GearRat, New Guy to the forum here, I'm working hard to get to the "show" myself with my "new" 51PackPatty400. Just got it this past Tuesday in Wichita Falls, Texas and hauled it back to Granbury, Texas. My main thing to do is get the sway bar bushings changed out (if anybody can give me some info to aquie these, I'd appreciate it). Also need to swap all the glass out with a 51 200, with the exception of the rear back glass, I picked up that night. Once I'm finished, I'll have a 51 200 parts car if anyone is interested. I plan to attend the Packard meet in Salado at the end of the month too. Let me know if you need any parts, I'll see if I have them and can bring them to Austin for you.

G'day My07bobber,
Congratulations on your '51 Patrician purchase and to PackardInfo. And another thing, I invite you to include your Packard in the Packard Owner's Registry here on PackardInfo.

When you work the lower bushing, avoid aggravation and chance of damage. Make the tool out of a C clamp by grinding a rounded contour on the jaw to fit over the retainer.

I posted an easy fix for replacing the frame mounted away bar bushings with lube-capable bushings from Advance Auto Parts.

Here's the link if you're interested.

Hey My07Bobber,
And welcome to Packardinfo.com. I really like the patina on that 400. It looks similar to mine in that respect. I'm not sure if I will be able to make it to Salado, for the Packard meet. I'd really like to attend that, even if my car doesn't go with me. If you're taking that 400 to "Lonestar Roundup", it would be a great addition to the show. I'll be heading to Austin on "Friday", in a caravan of old cars. Probably be there till "sunday" evening. As far parts go on that 200, does it have a tail light lens? My buddy helped me push my car with his, and ended up busting my drivers side lens.

PM me if you have any questions about the show, or need to get in contact with me by phone.

-Garrett
