1937 wheel cylinders

Hi all

Well it time to replace the stock rear wheel cylinders..

Is there a modern wheel cylinder we can use with the stock master ...

the stock ones dont have a bleeder valve / nipple

All the wheel cylinders should have a bleeder. If your rear cylinders do not have bleeders they must be broken off. Original bore is 15/16". Here are a few number ---

wc 4803 and wc4804
wc 9025 and wc 9026 --requires adapter for brake line


Suggest you remove old wheel cylinders and take to auto parts store along with
provided numbers.

The original and correct NORS cylinders all have bleeder screws, never heard of one that didn't. If yours don't have them, I'd be curious what application they were for.

Might also check wc-4801 and 4802 wheel cylinders. 15/16" bore and made for 1/4" line nuts.

My NAPA store has these in-stock or at the local ware house along with the flex hoses, Ill look for Numbers if different than those posted, Then counter person just entered those numbers and WOW on the shelf ....

I just did my 37 115. As Dallas said above, the Napa numbers are UP9025 and 26, and I did have to get a couple of brass adapters to connect the stock fitting to the new wheel cylinders. I picked those up at O'Reilly's for about five bucks.

The cylinders were something like ten bucks apiece.

Hi Ramcuda,
I'm losing sleep over this, when you start your brake job will you pleeeze take a pix of the wheel cyls that don't have a bleeder valve, I just gotta know. Thanks.

I'm following along on this one with keen interest as well. Is it possible Ramcuda is looking INSIDE and not seeing bleeders, not realizing they stick out the back?? I have never seen or heard of brake cylinders without bleed screws. And, while we're on the topic of wheel cylinders (and not to hijack this post) I need new cylinders for the rear of my '39 Six. Does anybody know if the aforementioned crossover numbers apply to THOSE cylinders?? I realize Kanter has had them reproed and I support them wherever and whenever I can, but, being in Canada, it would sure save me a lot of time and money to just pick them up at the local Napa store. And what about shoes, same thing?? Chris.
