A lot of Packards there. Saw them in the Museum back in 2012 when visiting the US. Was very impressive seeing a line of late teens/early twenties Twin Sixes!

There are 31 offered at no reserve. This seems to be the collection from the Fort Lauderdale museum.
There are 8 others listed from private owners. I toyed with the idea of bidding by phone, but have never done that and have no idea how to coordinate with a shipper if I won the bid. Has anyone out there been down that road? I can't get anyone at the auction to answer the phone or call me back.

Bob, shipping shouldn't be a big deal cause most vehicles will be hauled by transporters anyway, so there will be enough trucks to catch a ride with.

I realize that there will be a lot of transporters there, I just don't know the sequence of events from hammer to ramp...
Who handles the paperwork Does anyone know if this auction will be televised? what network?

Interest group of Packards, though as usual, do your homework before bidding.
For example: worldwideauctioneers.com/listings/auburn ... ndividual-custom-convertible-sedan/ "Offered here is an attractive example of Dietrich’s design work in the form of a 1931 Packard 845 Individual Custom Seven-Passenger Convertible."..."Coachwork by Dietrich" Before accepting the auction company description, compare the this example with factory portraits of the '31 845 Individual Custom Convertible Sedan by Dietrich and the '31 833 convertible sedan styled by Dietrich but built by Murray. I'll be interested to read your conclusions. Looks to me like they may have borrowed some parts from a factory 833. The doors and the rear bumper/luggage rack do not look like the Dietrich model. The running boards, fenders, and front clip all look right. So I guess kind of a mashup of cars?
