Some interesting stuff in those General Letters I just posted. Worth a look through, if even for the little bits of history mixed in.

By the way. Those took forever to scan, label and post all of those with descriptions! Trade Letters on deck next.

I really appreciate the hard work bud! I find the April 14, 1937 issue interesting. Different hubcaps for the 7 passenger, but because my car was delivered 12/24/36, the hubcaps on it are correct, but could be changed according to the letter. Good stuff!

Hi Kev

Thanks for all your diligence and hard work to make these available, they're a real window into the day-to-day Packard business communications.

Interesting the factory didn't want to state top speed for the '30 734 models, only leave it to suggest it was more than adequate.

The April 1936 letter noting the LeBaron Custom-bodied car availability is particularly, suggest that they weren't very fast moving inventory then, needed a nudge to move them out.

Great stuff!

Steve

.....epigram time.....
Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.
