Its a wheel cyl. pin. They used 2 per wheel cylinder. I doubt it is from your car, if your brakes are working well. Probably a spare part.

That looks like a link that goes between the brake cylinder piston and the shoe web.

Ah ok thanks…I did the brakes a few months ago and never saw that drop out …replaced a
Everything…was worried it was tranny part!

I'd be worried because it's a brake part!

Although I can't imagine your brakes working properly without that part, it would be best, and for peace of mind, to check the brakes.

I agree, best case the car would pull to one side, but most likely the seal would just pop out of that half of the cylinder and you would lose all brake pressure.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.
