I am still planning on going but, I will more than likely be going without my car. After doing the math I found I have only put a little more than 100 miles on her. Definitely a little uncomfortable making the 150, or so, mile trip up and back. She is running and stopping pretty well right now, but I would hate to have something go wrong on the way up there. I have had my fair share of problems with only traveling a little over 100 miles and to do that in one trip is a little daunting.
Hope everyone has a safe trip to Salado, and I look forward to meeting y'all!

Arrived in Salado today just as the 630 supper was being served up. But was unable to bring Clipper Jack with me.
We left SD early Wednesday morning and arrived in Bolivar, MO at my brother Ray's (the secret location of Hillbilly Packard Brothers). Tinkered on the 41 on Wednesday and Thursday, but without sufficient success to bring it down to TX. Saw JWs 47 Clipper (maroon) with a For Sale sign in the window. Wish my name was "Sale." Will go back in the morning to see cars and swap meet. I will try to post a few photos from TX for all of you to enjoy. Here is an old photo of my Clipper Jack from 2009 National in Brandon, MO. More later, Dan Leininger

I don't know how this will work, but if it does you can see many Packards all in one!! Enjoy.
JW, I missed you, I talked to a man with a 37, thinking that was what you were in!!! Wrong decade according to the above post!! I did see the Clipper, very pretty car!! Have to say, I went over the moon for the orange and black Caribbean!! WOW!

I see that Garrett, GearRat52, has put a few pic's of the meet into the Photo Archive. At present, they are easily viewable in "Recent Photos" in the right hand column.

Just now checking-in and much catch-up to do. I will have a couple of nice stories and some photos soon. Saw Garrett and his father and gave Garrett a ride in the '47. Met John and Annet Forsyth and their 40 110 RHD. Mal, Annet gave me your message. Thanks. Great meet, great people, great experiences. More soon.

Great meet! Got the award for furthest driven (ok I detoured on back roads and went via Longview to convoy the rest of the way with Nelson Bates). For a car that used to die almost every run we were well pleased with car performance. Nice bunch of people and we enjoyed immensely....hope to post some pictures soon.
