Got the pump armature/shaft back from the machine shop today. I think it's going to seal just fine now. The passenger side rear door did have a cylinder which I managed to drop on the floor revealing a homemade connecting rod and a broken piston that had split along the clip retaining groove. I disassembled one of the extra cylinders and it had a black plastic piston. The plastic piston was a big surprise as I had no idea anybody made them. This whole system is a hodgepodge of unmatched parts and make-do, amateur fixes. I'm hoping I have better luck with the solenoid switches but I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks to a friend in Europe that sent me a detailed photo of a ZIS divider window mechanism, I figured out where to look and have determined that the cylinder is missing. And... I now know where the extra long rod I found in the cardboard box goes for sure. The ZIS set-up appears to be identical. The Soviets sure knew how to copy down to the last detail.

So... on December 7th I ordered some O-rings off the internet so I could finish up the motor/pump and test it.

Still waiting. Anybody see what's wrong with this picture?

I can hardly wait to see where my O-rings are going to visit next on their grand tour of the United States.

Your o rings are looking like the internet traffic to this site--thru China.

There does not seem to be much reason within shipping. Think it depends on various arrangements companies have with shippers. I ordered items from various companies thru Amazon on 5th with standard shipping--4 companies, all but one in midwest area. All confirmed order receipt that day, all confirmed items sent by next day. All except one arrived within 4 days, last one arrived 14th. 3 via UPS, 1 US mail and no, post office was not the slow one and the last to arrive was not the longest distance.

The window motor/pump is done. I'll pressure test it and make sure the pressure relief valve works once I find someplace that will make up some hoses for me. The garage is too cold now to do much that's constructive out there so I put the power window project on hold until Spring and picked up a project that could be done in the basement without making too much of a mess. That project would be the real wood interior window frames. There's a PDF file you can peruse if you wish following the picture below:

Do you need any of the wood window frames. I think I know of a set that might be for sale.
