Dear Marston:
My last basket case I handled sans benefit of pictures so I had to work through it a few times. You need the parts book to keep track of the spacers. You will know you have it right when the pedals line up with the floor board so make sure you have one. Here is one picture that may help - it's not 9th series. The 10th series parts book has a picture and items like part number 190912 "brake pedal shaft spring washer". If they are in the wrong place it won't work right. I'm sure that most cars that have been apart are missing some of those things.

Tim,
Thanks for the picture. I've looked in the parts manual and it appears that I'll be having a fun time trying to figure out how things go together since I did not take it apart. To compound my challenge I can see that I'm going to have way to much fun digging through all of the boxes of parts that I hav,e since the previous owner did not label or have much in the way of organizing things when he took it apart. If anyone out there has some closer up picture of the area, it would be greatly appreciated.

Remind me, was 1932 the last year the pedals were mounted to the transmission, or the first year they were not? If the latter I could take some photos of a 34 from underneath next time I have the car in the air.

First year they were not mounted to the tranny. Cheers, Tom

Here is a link to a Picasa album of a '34 RHD Chassis. I believe the chassis is basically the same as a LHD chassis save for the cross linkages connecting to the RHD pedals. And the steering location of course!
Trust this helps.

Mal,
Thanks for trying, but there are major differences other than the cross linkage. The first image shows the brake pedal mounted on the shaft (1.00" o.d.). The device just to the left of the brake pedal rotates on the 1.00" shaft and appears to be what the clutch pedal mount onto as it has a 5/8" i.d. hole in it and the clutch pedal also has a 5/8 " i.d. hole in it (for a bolt?). But how it would function on the device has be baffled as the device rotates on the 1.00" shaft. So hopefully , "Out of photos comes order" - Marty 2013.

Marston,
These should be of some help. I left one image uncompressed so you can zoom in to see the details. There are two thick washers on one side of the brake / clutch shaft, a wave washer between the bake and clutch arm, and one thick washer on the end of the shaft. May have to do multiple reply's to load all the pictures. Regards, Dave
