The Lemont Lions (which I am a member of) participated in the Lemont Kepataw Parade yesterday.

Here are a few pictures of my Packard along with another members Farmall 0ne of six his family owns.

Was a nice day for it but the Packard did not like the stop and go of the parade she prefers to be out on the open road.

Been some time since I posted last. Not much going on with the Packard. Been in hibernation for about 2 years now.

I know the following pictures aren't of a Packard. I once owned a GTO and regretted selling it. I have been looking at adds lately and my twin found this when on Facebook market place. We went out to look at it a few weekends ago and I could not pass on it. Body work and interior has been restored, engine bay could use some tlc.

Now back to the Packard. I have put about 1000 miles since finishing the restoration. Would like to drive it more but need front end alginement. The new tires have gotten some excessive wear on then. I am afraid to put any more miles on it until I get the alignment done. Hopefully next year.....

Tom (Packin31), latest when looking at her mighty hips, I understand you.

In Lemont seems to live a Polish minority.

Guscha,

Lemont is an old canal town which the canal was built by Irish immigrants. But the town does have its share of Polish and Luthaiuns.

Hello my Packard friends,

It has been a few years since I have had the Packard out of the garage. So this week I took off of work to get it out of its slumber.

Had to fill all tires since they where flat.

Removed the fuel pump and found it was all corroded inside. Cleaned it out and put back together and reinstalled it. It took some cranking to finally get it to start. It ran pretty good giving that sat for almost 5 years.

Took it out for a test run around the neighborhood. About a 5 mile ride or so.

Took it out again today and did a 45 mile run. While pulling back onto the home stretch a few house away this happened. Left rear tire went flat.

Pulled the tire and found that the stem is leaking right at the point where it is glued to the tube.

Can the tube be repaired or I am best to just purchase a new tube?

Should I be concerned about this happening to the other tires?

Onto another issue the fuel pump. Once I got the Packard back into the garage and left it running just to check things out under the hood and wouldn't you know it the fuel pump is leaking. Thank goodness it didn't catch fire while I was out on my drive.

Does anyone know where I could purchase a rebuild kit for the fuel pump?

Thanks
Tom

Tube ordered from Lucas Classic tire. I needed a tube with metal stem the only type they have in stock was with rubber stem.

All other tire company's I checked with had no tubes available in the size I needed.

No eta from any company when the metal stem tubes will be available.

Still waiting for replies on a rebuild kit for the fuel pump.
