Just bought a 38 Roadster.....need something to keep me broke and off the couch once the weather turns cold.
The car is pretty solid and the seller has secured new rust free fenders and had most of the major chrome done. The engine is supposed to run but he had pulled the radiator and distributor so it will be a while before that becomes an issue....will probably opt for a rebuild while it is out of the car.
The floor pans...especially front driver side ...appear to have rusted through.
My initial question is whether there is anyone out there selling replacement floor pans or whether it will be necessary to fabricate them?
Once I get the car moved to the garage I am sure I will have a lot more questions.

Looking forward to seeing it there RJR. And a question for you, was it because of my recent post in the General Form or woud you have done so anyway? Just looking for a little feedback.

I wish I could say that your recent post inspired my comment....but I missed it. Just think getting the cars into the Registry is a good idea. If I can figure out how to post a picture this time, I will be elated.

Minor detail, Ray's car is a '39. or so I thought...its a really really good project. Ray had mixed feelings about selling it, but it kept falling off the priority list.

You could try these guys. Maybe measure first and then call them. They make 38-39 Packard parts.

As far as I know C2C which Mal and Joe linked above is he ONLY source for Packard sheet metal repair pieces unless you luck onto someone with an odd factory piece or a good parts car.

The C2C repro panels are not usually an exact direct drop in factory look and fit and will undoubtedly require some massaging and trimming. No idea how large their presses are but some of the stamped depressions and other features in the factory panels are not as deep. Some bolt hole locations could need spacers under the panel. In some cases users have cut the shallow bolt locations out of C2C floor panels and welded in original pieces cut from the old panels. Even with some minor deficiencies their repro panels are still better than making your own from scratch.
