I invite you to include your '47 Custom Super Clipper Eight Touring Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry.

I got lucky on my 1946 Packard. It is missing the big plate on the cowl, but the title and the "Brigg's" number matched so it was accepted and I got the new title in my name....

Just to round out the picture for Packard as they referred to it on their identification plates, they never called it a vehicle identification number or a serial number. From 1900 thru about 1919, the ID plate captioned it as simply "Number". From then thru 1953 the space was captioned "Vehicle Number". From 1954 thru 1956 there was no descriptor given to the number.
