Packard hanging out with hot rods!

Who said you can't hang out with hot rods.

I sort of crashed a hot rod, motorcycle art show about a week ago in downtown Portland. Had fun plus free beers. Different type of car owners for sure. Only had to chase two people off the car. One was a surly young lady who needed a good you know what!

Actually the event organizer, who was showing his car art, came up to me after I been there awhile and thanked me for coming. He said when I first pulled in he thought my Packard was a fake, it couldn't be real.

Hot rodders aren't all bad! Or are they? I used to be one of them!

Your '32 looks good!

Looks like a cool event. I wish there was more of an effort to integrate car shows and art expositions in my neck of the woods. Lord knows downtown Cleveland could use such (any!) an event.

Well they are different. One car that gets attention is that T. He's got a lousy paint job over metal, por finishing, a motor that leaks like a sieve butthe hot rodders love it. Teh also appreciated my car and the fact I was driving it.

In the videos, on the Site referenced by Ken scroll down to Billetproof 2009 on Super 8 Film, and at 2:20 in there's what I think is a '40 Packard Coupe.

Scott,

I don't know about taking my packard downtown cleveland (or worse, pittsburgh!)...no respect for right of way! I can only imagine how many tiny imports i'd have to pick out of the packards grill so they didn't interrupt airflow to the radiator

There's not enough traffic in downtown Cleveland these days to worry about right of way issues.

Driving downtown is my favorite thing to do. We got plenty bicyclist and pedestrians who think the traffic laws don't apply to them.
