That's a nice looking car.
However, I'd check it out mechanically first. Young drivers like the ones in the picture tend to ride the clutch a bit and crash the gears!!

Are you sure it's a 640? How can I be sure?
Thanks

Length of hood, 4 large "doors" instead of 30 or so samll pressed in louvers. 100% for sure a 640, 645's had same hood/louvers but no coupes were made.
It is not a Super Eight, it is technically an Eight Deluxe. The Eight Deluxe was renamed the Super 8 in 1933 I think.. Owen_Dyneto to he podium please

First off, thank you guys for your help but I'm getting confused. Is it simply a 640 coupe? Or is it a 640 coupe something?

I'm not saying it's not a 640, because it is, but I disagree that they didn't built a 645 coupe. Both the Standard Catalog and Turnquist's book identify a 645 Deluxe Eight coupe, body number 378. Packard info photo:packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=7949
The term for the car you want to buy is a 1929 Packard Model 640 Custom Eight 2/4 passenger coupe, body number 348. And to answer your original question, yes those wheels are correct if they are 20-inch.
