If you are having trouble posting a photo make sure the size is less than 2048K or 2 meg and the title is not too long or have extra spaces or periods. Some of the other standard symbols or characters are also "forbidden" so best to avoid anything except text in the title.

Having owned and been around 34 Packards for 50+ years, I don't think that tag is associated with the car. The only remote possibility is if the car had the type of radio that required a motor/alternator set which was often mounted in the glove box - I've never examined one of them closely for whatever lubrication needs they might have had. Other than that I think it's unrelated to your car. The only places where the factory lubrication chart calls for SAE 10 motor oil is for the generator (which I've never seen a tag on) and the crankcase when temperatures are below zero.
SAE 50 is appropriate for your Bijur system.

total SWAG, but could it be from an accessory top oiler? Low viscosity oil would make sense there

I think that tag is for the torque converter on an old Chrysler Fluid Drive Coupling Unit.

Peter, welcome to PackardInfo.com.
-> This link goes to a DeSoto thread, which reads: "... got another tip from someone owning a '41 Soto this weekend. He told me it could also be the oil inside the gear box. There's a label literally screaming out loud WARNING! USE 10W MOTOR OIL ONLY! ..."

Thanks for the solution to this puzzle. Heaven knows what a Desoto or perhaps Chrysler tag was doing in a Packard glove compartment but stranger things have happened.
