You should have no regrets on your part, and I don't view the list as a nuisance. It's what a previous version of the list was used for elsewhere that troubles some folk.

You simply posted what you thought was interesting and other newcomers may find it to be exactly that. Some other folk (including me) merely posted some caveats to keep things from running off the rails. No harm done.

In fact, let me admit that, in my early years in the hobby (long before the Internet), a list of firsts like this even caught my eye, and it sure seemed like bragging rights to defend my interest in the marque. However, as I learned more about automotive history (and continue to learn), I realized I should take such lists with a grain of salt.

As long as the list is presented for information only, which is what this great site is all about, I don't see any problem on the horizon.

Well, in an online chatroom or forum, it's often a thin line between a spirited and informative discusssion and a "dick-waving" contest. I've found that the key is to not read too much into the printed word.

That said, I think you'll find that the longtime online Packard enthusiasts who have made their way here are a lively bunch, but we even have to take each other with a grain of salt at times.

Not so different than life in the real world.

Yes, the legend is true. The red arrow points towards the USB port.
Here comes a short list of ZIS First's:

first prewar Packard after the war
first Packard after the last Packard
first Packard Stalin disliked
first Packard that was unpurchasable
first to include right of way as standard equipment
first car with herd instinct
