Got my intake/exhaust and head off. Hope I can replace them if anyone else has aftermarket pieces laying around

This Edmunds catalog from 1952 shows they made an intake for the Packard 120, but they don't list a cylinder head. I wonder they actually made a head for a 282?

The 327 motor fits the 41 and you use the 41 front mount. No need to use the frame mounts from the 327 motor. The existing gearbox mounts are used and the X frame is already set up to take the OD trans ( R11 would be the best). It is not a very big deal to put a 327 into a 41 120. There are Service letters on this previously posted.

Still looking for an intake or head (if such an item exists).

The Edmunds aftermarket parts show up only every few years and often require a second mortgage to be able to afford them! Being aluminum, the heads that do show up may not even be usable. Point is, if you want to move forward on getting your car going, maybe consider stock for now.

Thr intakes from people that have tried to use they haven't show any real performance gains. Also they don't mate with the factory exhaust manifold. So you then have to have a custom headers made. It's a slippery slope for net nothing.

They are out here, although a guy on the AACA Forums has been chasing one since September with no luck so far. Link to the AACA thread, even contains a couple of pics of the elusive head, so they do exist!

Port and polish is your best bet. Packard engineers designed those straight eights for low-end and smoooothness. Without a proper bump stick, adding a second carb will barely give you a "seat of the pants" feel. Mostly just burn a little more gas. Custom grind a cam with say, 9* or 10* overlap, so it idles decent, but, as was said earlier, you have to be careful with lift due to valve/head clearance. Then, a second carb adds breatheability and rpms.
Ed Macauley had his 160 convertible fitted with 2-2bbls, but, different engine. I believe that car is still around, but I can't comment on the performance. I believe in "make it your own", so go ahead add the Edmunds stuff. It'll look cool.
