The front isn't the same either. The BAT writeup says that the front and rear of the car was reworked at some point.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

Gosh that's tempting even though it's clear across the country! If it had factory A/C I might be on my way!

I wonder if the Fuzzy Dice come with it. They must, right?

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

By chance I spotted this butchered 1948 Henney-Packard “Hurst” for sale on Facebook and in looking at the photos, I recognized the license plate. I owned this car for many, many years and sold it to the elderly son of San José’s Packard dealer some years ago. I wondered what became of it but I never expected this! Here’s what it looked like when I sold it but not sure there’s much of an improvement now! It WAS a rare Nu-3-Way for which I took great pains to locate the table which was missing when I bought it.

For those who can’t see the Facebook listing, here it is and yes, the landau bars are installed incorrectly.

The dashboard on that 180 looks great, but there is something wrong with that car.

Instruments look like they were taken from a 1939 Model 1703 Super 8. But I did once see another 1940 180 Super 8 with this dash, so maybe it is correct after all?

I am glad it does not have those ugly plastic overlays on the dashboard which are so common on Packards from the 40s. I really detest them.
With all that wood grain you this dash is very beautiful.
