Here are some pics of the the 1955 Clipper I just picked up in Ohio. A big thanks to Pacmandon who hooked me up on the car!

Looks like the start of a nice project and you're already collecting a few extra pieces to go along with it. Keep us up to date.

Congratulations on the new acquisition, good to see it's getting a new house too! And please include it in the Owner Registry together with a pic, any known history and how you acquired it.

I looked today for the build sheet, but no such luck. Is the vin stamped on the engine block? The vin tag is no longer on the car. I had originally thought of doing a full body off restoration, but I think for now I'm going to fix rust, put the car back together and just enjoy it for a couple years. I know if I start a body off it will be years until I am done.

If original engine the vin # on engine will be same as what car was. It is stamped (maybe faintly) on a flat section of block just to drivers side of oil filler pipe & in front of valve lifter cover. May take some scraping or wire brushing and oil filter may obscure a clear view. Should begin 5567 xxxx.
