Good day dear Packhard lovers ;)

I am Kony from Switzerland and since yesterday I am an owner of a beautiful Packhard Clipper 1955 Custom constellation. The car is in awesome condition and i'd like to do some cosmetic on it.
As usual the driver seat is worn a bit and I am looking for the upholstery fabrics (Code 53). I attached the example out of the catalogue. Does anybody have an address or supplier to whom I can write to ? Thanks for your help and have a nice day.

Looks very nice! You can try SMC Auto Fabrics in Oregon, USA as they have about everything.

SMS is about the only place that MIGHT have some original fabric. You may need to send them a small piece cut from excess material where the upholstery is fastened under the seat for them to match. Just be aware that there have been reports of SMS having slow response and long backlogs since the pandemic.

If they do not have any of the fabric and there have been other inquiries, possibly it would be a candidate for reproduction. They have done that for several other fabrics but if they need to wait for enough orders, delivery can take years. I heard mention of 2-3 years for one of the fabrics used in a 56 Caribbean.

Very nice looking car. The teal/white combo with emerald interior is one of the best combos of that year in my opinion.

Get a sample from SMS before tearing into your seats, it may not be as accurate as you would like.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

thanks a lot to your friednly and fast answers. I wrote Doug from SMS and got an answer instantly, how cool is that. I am living so far away from you guys and had my doubts about parts and availability.
I am so happy to get this nice support already.

Thanks a lot to you out there ;)

I will register my clipper in the next days , whats the idea behind this list, just to know which cars are still alive ?

I will let you know about my clipper for sure again ;)

Wish you all a nice weekend

That's a nice ride. In my opinion, one of the best color schemes of that year was teal, white, and emerald.
