Hi everyone, putting back a 37 120 side windows back in and I was wondering does the felt go only on the left and right sides (see 1st pic) or does it go all the way around like a U (see 2nd pic) Also, do the side windows need the "anti rattle" felt on the door trim? Thanks

Starting to install the rear side glass and noticed that the top of the windows are not as curved as the door (see the 1st picture). We have another late 30's Packard in the shop and the rear side glass is curved on top like the door (see 2nd picture). When you install the felt and roll the window up, the upper corners bind up (see the last picture). Is this how all of the rear windows are?

Perhaps Don 37 or Ken P can chime in with an assist on this.

Ken P I think is on deployment somewhere, so may not be on radar for a little bit.

Or, maybe it's time for him to "Up periscope"!

I got a message from the glass man and he said that is the correct glass for the car and suggested to me to cut the top section first and then install the side pieces next so the corners don't bind up. Nicholas is a great person to get info from. I will start to install the felt in tomorrow.

The "U" shaped channel is on the front and rear sides only and ends before the upper curve in the door opening.
The top piece is a flat strip of rubber or felt that the top of the glass presses against when the window is raised. There is no "U" shaped channel on the top side.
