As the introductory text on this non-commericial sit sez, "The Packard Bookshelf is a single point of reference to collect information about on these fine books." The listings are not an offer to sell, but to simply promote awareness of what has been published on our favorite cars.

When an ISBN number is provided you can plug that into Google and often find one or more commercial sites with that title for sale - even for some titles that have long been out of print.

However, this particular book has no ISBN - perhaps because it was self-published. A search by title doesn't seem to turn up any offers, either. Perhaps Owen_Dyento can enlighten us as to his supplier.

Gerd, you never cease to amaze me. I would not be inclined to go to a hydroponics site to find a Packard book--even if it did come up in a search.

Brian, I hope you won't bite my (good) nose off.

Heck, no. I just gave up when I didn't see a single offering on the first page of results when I Googled Packard Automobile Company Tools and Jacks Book. Color me lazy.

Good sleuthing on your part, Gerd. Even if I had spotted that in the search results, I would have been inclined to think it in error (on a site about hydroponics).

Howard,

I couldn't (easily) find any info on the site owner(s), but have to wonder if there's a connection to either one of the authors.

Terry,

I'm not the one after this book, it's actually PackardInfo member "Dell". I found his request in the Chatroom without a response and, like I've done on previous occasions, re-posted it in the appropriate Forum for a broader audience and if appropriate responses. I also sent Dell a PM telling him of what I've done.

I know this is a very old topic, but I just found about the book and I would love to have it to try to complete my tool and jack sets for my Packards.

Can anybody tell me where to find it? or in case somebody has a copy that could sell, I would certainly be glad to get it from him.

Thanks!
Victor

It was privately published; I haven't seen it offered for some time but why not start by simply contacting the authors to see if it's still available from them - or perhaps you've already done that? Don Reedy and Danny Shaub are co-authors - their contact info is in The Packard Club membership directory, assuming you're a member.

At one time or another I've probably scanned and posted half the pages of the book on this site - with kind permission of the authors. What years and models are you interested in?
