Not sure what the weight difference is between the aluminum body and the cast body. Im using the cast iron bellhousing. So somewhere between the 54 GS weight and the 56 Twin weight.

I had question about seal..so called Ross.. The seal should be flush ..in to far and you block the return hole. I did it with a 1/2 wide seal..nowhere for oil to go..but right out shaft.. After my experience..I looked at spare bell housing.. That. Had about 3/16ths gap. Between bushing and seal..

Oh, Riki is right, your front seal is in a bit far. That is OK as long as the drain back hole is not obscured. Might want to stick a bit of mirror in there and have a look.

Hmmm... You're talking about the the bellhousing oil.seal, not the bushing correct? Not sure I even noticed a drain back hole in that area.
I'll have to see if I can back it out without destroying it.

And pull. Bell housing..Or just remove with seal remover..then put another one in Look at my blog...
