Randy, thanks for sharing. Your pics remind me that I'm still waiting for in-depth reviews of Avanti, Champion & Co. on PackardInfo.com.

That's no surprise. Let's listen to this sunshine driver in his Scrapula who always enjoys being contrary:

... I am also a fifties Stude sedan fan with a 56 President Classic, and a 58 Champion. They have their charms.

Ross came to hotdog his front coil springs - they are Studebaker Lark (as the original springs were way too weak to shoulder the largest opera makeup mirror ever seen in a Packard).

I'm lost. He will probably pick me up. Edit: My goose is cooked! He will probably convert me into a pickup. At least the announced surprise is squandered. I will try to correct myself: the original spring is way too stiff and tall to fit under the short brim of his nice-looking hat that supersedes the missing hood.

Had a graet time and company Randy attracted the Packard people present who were undercover interested in Studebakers. The down side was the show was held on a open field the Packard show last year was held at a better site in my opion as it was under trees with shade which I prefer to sun.

Probably not enough shade could be found--even in PA. The last Studebaker meet I attended was huge compared to Packards usual turnouts. Rows and rows of Studes off into the horizon---and you can't put them too close together because if you do, I swear they manage to pair up and multiply.

Who is that guy dressed in black chatting with Ross (seated in his speedster)? Perhaps a member of the clergy?
