Today it is time to give sincere thank to Brian (BH) and Mal (Ozstatman) because both are strong and faithful workhorses. Brian, who meanwhile reached the summit of 2,000 posts works for years behind the stage to build up the Packard Service Index - to take a single example.
And Mal? If you left wondering what is so special about him and his humor after 5,000 posts then put your Packard in the PackardInfo owner registry and and see what happens.

Written to honor a perfect example of a gentleman who prefers to jump feet first in contamined beaches and whose remarks were not meant to disparage the T/L ...

Randy, after 2,000 wonderful comments the time has come to thank you! Allow me a pictorial comparison: if PackardInfo would be chain driven like the ol' Packard workhorse below then your humor and social competence would be the grease to keep this website running.

BTW Take your time. Strength lies in calmness.

Let's stop the march of time for a moment to talk about Keith (PackardV8). It is easy to find the first peep from user number 35. Just go down to the first-ever V8 thread (--> 2006/12/1). Meanwhile we can look back at his 5,000 comments and about 15,000 nagging questions.

To say it with Mal (--> 2011/1/30):

Quote:
...From Keith's many posts I've come to recognise him as a seeker of truth by the way he often tries to draw out more information resulting from the posts of others...

At heart, he doesn't like cars because cars obscure the installed glove boxes from his view. To Keith a Packard is an ambient structure of a glove box.

Keith, how is your 56 Exec doing?

Quote:
...Glove box opens just fine but NOT all off the way open. I use a glove box quite often. It presents no problems for me...[2011/11/3]

Keith, our sincere thanks to you!

"draw out more information resulting from the posts of others...".

That is known as Socratic Dialectics. Not just the foundation, but rather the bedrock of law, education and the scientific method that the foundation is built on. If it wasn't for Socratic method then even to this day we would still be living on a flat earth, attempting spontaneous generation, and arguing over how many angels can dance on the head of pin.

I am well aware that it is often considered to be a trait for one that mite be a bit lacking of civility. Quite often i have to watch my manners with it too.

In the end, we have cars to maintain, whatever it takes.
