my dad made a device out square stock that went on H, bolted the two pieces together then pulled on that, something like the picture.

don't know where it is now. i have pulled on the inner pulley groove, with no problems...

i have heard that people have pulled off the rubber..

Leno. might know something, he has his team research things, if anyone could zone in on it, he or they could.

I would like to get it myself, is it possible that Delorean helped fit the system in the Packard,?, cause PI had it in there mid 80s issue,

PAt,

I think kev, means he did away with ultramatic, put one of those traitor trans in. Which driving on a regular bases, lasts longer. etc..

My dad put pressure lines in and routed them to rocker panel, then he hooked up gauges with plexiglass rested them on cowl, and was able to drive and read pressures.

I plan to have gauges inside under glove compartment,

but, bushings, i think aluminumized Bronze would be an up grade. i have all my inner rings for my needle bearing conversion, its in the machine shops hands now..

Re: Spark Plugs

Hi, owen,

Have not looked up autolite, packard lists champion, all the engines i have had ,,,,had champion, that includes spares.

i have seen ac and autolite, to me, it was lower class plug. But with these cars you have to use what ever is on the market, and price.. for me anyway...

i always have had good service with champions, i think i used ac and they kept fouling. think it was a GM, thing.. packard was rejecting it................

Years ago,

I wrote to Champion Spark Plugs Co.,, because, you could not longer get NY-18 sparks plugs, the closest plug NY-16, have not seen them around now.

PT ,they said it would be a waste of money to use PT plugs for Packard.

Now i am looking for the current replacement spark plug. Another call to Champion.

I would use Stainless Steel freeze plugs, they are used for diesel engines. i have a set.

But looking for smaller ones for water pump and other parts..
