Graber Auctions
1382 S. State Road 257 Washington, IN 47501 August 4, 2018 at 8:30AM The ad says it's a 1951 400 but it's obviously a 200 Touring Sedan. It does have the 3spd/OD combo that many seem to covet. Here's the description from the auctioneer: "Power Steering, Power Brakes, 3 sp & over drive. car cover in trunk, Run & Drives great! Newport Hill Climb Champion. , Color: GREEN , ODO Reads: 43,396 , VIN: 249215919"

Like this part of the ad: "Newport Hill Climb Champion". Must have been quite an accomplishment! Looks like there are trophies to prove it.

Will that crew cab bring 10K? It will be an outstanding cruiser for the money

Maybe because it has a "necker" knob on the steering wheel, that means it has power steering..... LOL

I installed factory power steering on my 1952 Henney-Packard as the 6200lb coach really needed it! I had a 1952 Patrician doner and the installation was very easy once I made the support bracket and had it welded to the frame using the original for measurements. After that it was all just simply bolt-on of the pump and changing the pitman and idler arms. The whole thing took under an hour, then required a professional alignment at a nearby (fortunately!) shop. It was all done in my apartment carport too.

There are only three collector cars in this auction, if someone is looking for a good buy, this might be your chance as likely few of the other attendees will have any interest in this '51 200. Let us know if you attend and especially if you buy it.

Although it looks to be in decent shape, it's drab exterior color and a depressingly dull interior (what was Packard thinking?) will likely kill most interest. Add in the fact that it's a low-trim four door sedan and I bet you it sells for less than $4K unless there's a reserve attached.
