Looks like it might be Cavalier or Grenadier Maroon, both stock colors for 22nd series. I believe the Grenadier Maroon replaced Cavalier for the 1949-titled 22nd series.

There are a LOT of scams on Craigslist, and that one has the earmarks of one.

That 48 in West Orange looks an awful lot like a car that was found in a garage back in the 70's. They called and said they wanted it taken away. It was bought for a few hundred dollars and sold to a guy named Jeff. The bird has been added. It was a straight stick car and ran like a million bucks.
The paint job was enamel and not metallic. Those pictures bring back memories of tearing up the Parkway at 55 in that thing like there was nothing to it. For a while it was a shop car that we used to shuttle customers. If there is a deluxe ornament in the trunk it is the same car. I can't remember if it had the mirrors.

We couldn't get rid of it back then. Why should anything have changed?

About post #111
ebay.com/itm/Packard-Four-Hundred-2-Door ... ors-hard-top-original-/131024072196 I understand that this car is headed out to the East coast & sold for over 10K. If that's the case, the seller did well. Anybody we know? Wish I had snagged it.

Of course with a good restoration your engine needs to be the same color as the body!
