Well the outside is pretty much finished. Now on to the interior.

Will this have a back-up camera installed? The view to the rear in the Clipper Club Sedan wasn't exactly great to begin with.

Yours is easily the most elegant, tasteful custom Clipper I've seen. The pillar-less hardtop evokes the style of Letoureur & Marchand Aero coupe Delages. We all stand in awe of your craftsmanship. Thanks for keeping us apprised of your progress.

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive. |

Hi JD. Yes this car will have a back up camera.
Thanks acolds and Steve. This build has always been about trying to keep the class that Packard had but something a little different.

Absolutely gorgeous! I've been following along but somehow missed that this was now a hardtop. Well done! The whole thing is awesome except for the hood ornament - (in my opinion) it's too large for the car and looks out of place to the elegant beauty of the rest. The base Packard ornament would have been a better choice but I know you said it was what your customer wanted. In any event, I can't wait to see the finished interior as the earlier shots looked great so I had thought it was completed.

Wow! What a fantastic reward for all the vision, work, craftsmanship and committment you have made in building the Clipper.
As well it's a huge honor. Hopefully you can garner further rewards. Good luck at the awards.

Spent the weekend at the Syracuse Nationals with these beautiful cars. The Lincoln was the winner of the Winfield award

Will admit being a bit surprised the Lincoln took it as I see 3 aesthetic flaws in my opinion: the wheelbase doesn't seem to match the wheel openings, the bottom of the rear quarter panel is quite heavy looking and would have benefited from some taper toward the rear bumper. The spare tire hump was some of the best sculpturing on the original car and I would not have eliminated that. Plus, I am weary of the slammed look.
Your Clipper is far more fleet and lithe looking. Would like to see some more photos of that insane white Cadillac--seems to be all new panels, a very impressive amount of work.
